Case Study
Bank of Ireland
During the economic downturn, one of the areas most immediately cutback was that of Graduate Recruitment and Development within Bank of Ireland, Irelands largest retail bank. On foot of the economic recovery, the strategic importance of this population was identified. People Performance were commissioned to assist in re-invigorating the defunct programme. Our remit was to build a process that would make Bank of Ireland an attractive proposition for Ireland’s top graduates. We were also to visit the development processes of the existing graduate population to ensure their career goals were being met and delivered upon. In order to address this, we set about completely re-inventing the graduate process. From the design of the key Performance Indicators through to creating an online Graduate portal, People performance completely reinvented the process. Over 5000 graduates applied and we applied our expertise in measurement to identify the most suitable candidates. In that year, the campaign won “Best Graduate Recruitment Campaign in FS” at the annual GradIreland awards. In tandem, we also implemented a staged development procedure for the existing graduates to create an environment that allowed them to flourish into their careers.
