Padraig began working in the area of people assessment and development over 10 years ago. He started his career in Northern Ireland working on assessment projects for the Police Service and with BDO Stoy-Hayward. Following his qualification as an Organisational Psychologist he spent over 4 years working in Oxford with Pearn Kandola, one of the most respected Organisational Psychology firms in the UK. In his time with the firm Padraig managed and delivered assessment and development projects for high profile UK clients. Following from this role as well as some time spent working and travelling in Australia and South America, Padraig joined Ernst & Young’s Global HR strategy team in London in 2010. Here he had responsibility for global projects related to talent acquisition and retention. Padraig became an associate of O’Brien Consulting in 2012. His aim is to use his strong technical background and highly pragmatic mindset to deliver for clients in the areas of assessment, development, engagement and coaching.

Padraig has delivered projects across organisational level, size and sector. Sample projects include:

• Design and delivery of Leadership Development programmes (NHS, PwC, BBC, BG Group, Johnson & Johnson)
• Design and delivery of individual assessments at Senior levels (Addleshaw Goddard)
• Coaching individuals from Graduate to Senior levels (BT, VSO, Pinsent Masons)
• Design of selection methodologies from Graduate to Senior Levels (Council of Europe, 
Sainsbury’s)
• Design and delivery of a wide variety of training programmes e.g. well-being, management 
skills, mentoring, diversity (AIB, Barclays, British Foreign Office)
• Audit of organisational selection and assessment processes
